Artist Bio

I became a serious amateur photographer in the 70s, taking college courses and setting up a home darkroom. Later, I took up drawing and painting, studying at Algonquin College, the Ottawa School of Art, and elsewhere. My experience with life drawing led me to try also photographing the nude figure, which is now my primary medium. In my art, I strive to portray the beauty, grace, strength and vulnerability of the human form. My work has been exhibited in 10 solo and many juried and curated shows.

Description of artwork
My photographs present the human form in different contexts including nature and industrial settings, as well as in the studio. The figures are usually nude but may also be draped with fabric.
